Join Me On a Journey to Better Health

After I graduated from IIN in 2017, integrative nutrition school, I discovered that there are many avenues in which health coaches implement their personal skills along with the knowledge most recently gained from completing the courses that focus on mind, body and spirit in a holistic application. My journey of finding a way to share my passions about better self-care include topical and culinary approaches through nutrition and overall mind, body and spirit lifestyle habits.

Some health coaches choose to work with doctors and other health providers as guides in implementation of better and probably new choices of food, exercise and recognizing the spirit as a life force for change. 

Most people are really unaware the scope and variety of ways health coaches can influence better self and family care. 

On a personal note, after seeing my parents, their friends and other members of my family suffer from illness and disease I wanted some answers.  I found that there was so much that played into health and wellness.  Often, disease most often was caused from cellular inherited pre-existing tendencies that caused disease and disorders to worsen with time because it was assumed that was just a part of aging.  That is not necessarily the case.  Again, nurture versus nature wins the health prize the majority of the time.

Now, because toxins and chemicals produced from corporate farms, reduced soil quality for our foods to be grown in, poor water sources and supply,  and the ever increasing environmental toxins, it is not enough just to eat right to Look Good/Feel Good!

Over the next few months, I want to bring attention to ways we can and need to gently address this toxic overload to our bodies and brains. 

Some people really suffer extensively and developed autoimmune disorders from toxic overload. In order to thrive we need to create more harmony in our body by the things we put in it and on it and the things we take out of it.

So in addition to selling my seasonings, teas and other products, I will be sharing some introductory information on a few approaches through mind, body spirit detoxing and rebalancing for healing and ā€œbackwards agingā€ from various doctors, herbalists and health leaders. 

The first method I am recommending is an ancient and historical approach, fasting, for detoxification and rebuilding the body by giving the body a few extra hours per day to begin the effects intermittent fasting can assist in getting to the root cause of illness.

One of these books, Beyond Fasting, a cellular solution to break through weight loss resistance, slow aging, and get well by Dr. Daniel Pompa.  He and a lot of other researchers and doctors have given over 20 years of studying and training doctors how to learn and teach to patients this ancient method of healing.

I repost on FB some of the videos Dr. Pompas is sharing on the fasting methods and protocols that can assist in a continuing lifestyle without yo-yo dieting and experimental diets that only if ever work for short term fixes. 

I will continue to be sharing Mermaid Musings on cuisine and culinary tips, foods and herbs but I needed to dig deeper to find real solutions for better self-care. I hope you’ll join me on this journey to better health.
