Sunday Social Supper with Kathleen Foland
“Healing from the Kitchen – Food as Medicine”
June 11, 5-7:30 PM

As a certified health coach, I have workshops and classes on repurposing leftovers and host Social Sunday Suppers in my home to help people learn about better food choices for the mind, body, spirit and mouthful mindfulness.

You are cordially invited to the next supper on Sunday, June 11. We will first begin by doing a little reminder of our daily need to relax and breathe with a purposeful breath and learn a little bit about our mind, body and spirit as we share the time self-nurturing and connecting with other attendees.

I have been experimenting using a dehydrator with my own garden produce and some fruit given to me into “Midwest Mermaid Muse seasoned fruit and vegetable chips.” By adding some of the vegetable chips it will add a bit of zip and the broken-up chips also adds some texture.

I just recently learned an effective way of reaping the flavor, color, and nutritional benefits of saffron tea.  We will make saffron tea and you can sample other restorative teas and take home some to enjoy later. We will also talk and discuss what you need to know about Kansas City pollen allergies. Healthy ways to treat it, symptoms, and causes.

We will have a supper that will include soup, salad & various teas. The cost is $45.00 per person. A special gift bag is included. If you have any questions, please let me know. RSVP as soon as possible since we have a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 guests.
